What is Hopebound Ministries?

Hopebound Ministries, Inc., supports select social service programs that were founded by Felician Sisters and nurtures these emerging ministries as they pursue long-term sustainable growth and deepening community impact. Hopebound Ministries is a Felician Sponsored Ministry. 

Established in 2010, Hopebound Ministries is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and is governed by a Board of Directors.

The programs supported by Hopebound Ministries are not yet independent, stand-alone Felician Sponsored nonprofit organizations, but may be pursuing non-profit status as a goal. As they grow, Hopebound provides:

  • Legal Compliance and Counsel
  • Financial Management and Fund Development
  • Program Management and Development
  • Corporate Compliance
  • Human Resources
  • And Catholic Mission Support

    The administrative offices for Hopebound Ministries are in Chicago, Illinois. Current Hopebound ministries are located in Illinois, Pennsylvania, and New York.

  4. Who are the Felician Sisters?

    The Felician Sisters are an international community of more than 1,000 vowed women religious (also known as Catholic Sisters) across four continents. You can read more about Felician Sisters here.

  5. Are donations to Hopebound Ministries, or the individual programs, tax-deductible?

    Yes! Donations to Hopebound Ministries or designated to any of its programs are tax-deductible.

    Programs supported by Hopebound fall under Hopebound Ministries’ 501(c)(3) incorporation and non-profit status as they raise funds and conduct business in the state where they operate.

    In the “doing business as” (dba) model, programs under Hopebound benefit from Hopebound Ministries’ formal incorporation and tax-exempt status. For example, Angela Spirituality Center is “Hopebound Ministries, Inc., doing business as Angela Spirituality Center”.

  6. Can Hopebound help our Catholic-affiliated social service program?

    Hopebound Ministries only serves programs that were initiated by Felician Sisters and are affiliated with the Felician Sisters of North America.

    Hopebound Ministries, Inc, and Felician Services, Inc. collaborate to identify social service programs within the Felician family that may meet eligibility guidelines for Hopebound Ministries.
